3rd Annual Carl Rutledge Float Trip

Once again we are headed to Watermelon Park for this fun weekend. So roll out those tents, sleeping bags, tarps and get them aired out for another great time together along the Shenandoah river.  As times are a changing and so do prices ; it will cost you $42.00 per person for the weekend. and children 11 and under are $12.00 per child.  Watermelon Park has changed their rules and regulations concerning a few things but it is still a great value for the money spent. As far as fires go we have to abide by new rules & cannot bring in our own wood and must be in above ground fire pits unless along the river. Our big bonfire will still be a go but we’ll have to buy some firewood from Watermelon Park.

Once again you will have a welcome party on Friday night (beer, wine, & munches) Saturday Breakfast, Saturday Night Dinner, and Sunday Breakfast. Most likely the same type of food as the last couple of years for all the meals unless you suggest something different that fits in the trip budget.   We hope to have the same band return this year to play for us Friday & Saturday Nights but we need the same kind of numbers we had last year and that number is 110. Watermelon Park needs us to have 100 people before we can have use of the stage. Let’s all do our part and attend this event!
