Oktoberfest  In Munich

Beast, Calling all of you drinkers,

Come join the Fagowee’s as we travel abroad to the 200th Anniversary of Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany. This is one of the world’s most famous festivals and you could be a part of this celebration. We will be leaving from Dulles (IAD) September 22nd and arriving in Munich the morning of the 23rd and our drinking can commence once we have checked in to the hotel. Our departure from Munich is the Monday afternoon of the 27th so this gives us four full days to experience Munich, Oktoberfest, and some of Germany. We have tent reservations for two days (Thurs. & Fri.) so we will be a part of the 7 million liters of beer drank during Oktoberfest! Our hotel is not far from the tents and an easy walk. Saturday we are NOT going to be part of the tent scene as it will be even “crazier” than the time we have in the tents! So what are we going to do? “Road Trip” to Klosters Andreches to see the famous Benedictine Monastery and enjoy the scenic view over the Ammersee. But you say “We came to drink”. Well we can drink the mouth watering Andechser Doppelbock after an hours walk thru the woods. This is because the Monastery has a brewery that produces several different varieties of beer not just the darker Doppelbock! This will be an hours ride (on the S-Bahn) out of Munich & should be a great time but not far from our hotel!

Full amount is due June 15,2010 and reservations can be made till this date. However if you wait till this date your choice of room & roommate may be affected! Sign up after June 15th and you will need to get your own air & based on availability of rooms possibly your own hotel accommodations.

As of this writing I have available: 6 doubles left, 1 triple (and space for one Male in a triple), and the single left  Send me your deposit to hold what you need!

Cancellation Policy:

Up to 100 days prior-$50 charge (June 14) Within 31-99 days of trip $300 charge (August 22) Within 30 days of trip-No Refund (No Exceptions) Within 30 days and full substitution a $200 charge Name change (not a full substitution, just a name correction) $50 ex:  Janes to James If you don’t give me your name as it appears on your passport it will cost you money to change your name.

What is included:

• Hotel Room-Four nights lodging at the Hotel Metropol (3 star) on Mitterstrasse close walking distance to the  Oktoberfest Tents, Hoptbahnhof Munchen, and Marianplatz. A couple of blocks off the Karlsplatz station which connects with the S-Bahn, U-Bahn, and trams.

• Full European Breakfast Buffet each morning (fruits, cheeses, meats, salmon and lox, juices, coffee, soft boiled eggs vegetables extensive selection of breads and pastries, etc.

• Air transportation via Lufthansa Airlines-Non stop from Dulles to the Munich airport and return via the same (all taxes included except additional fuel charges if enacted)

• Private bus transportation to/from airport and hotel

• Two Tent reservations at Oktoberfest for Thursday and Friday afternoon– cost includes lunch of 1/2 rotisserie chicken, two beers, and a tray of meats/cheeses, pretzels, and radishes

• Side trip to Kloster Andreches (about an hours ride & then a great walk to the Monastery

What is NOT included:

• All  beer purchases (except for the two beers with the tent reservation) Beers are about 9 Euros each. Lunches and dinners and other consumptions on non tent days are all yours to pay for!

• Airline baggage costs, anything consumed on the plane other than the freebies, and all your other expenses (I’m not buying it & nether is anyone but you!!)

• Connecting flights to other gate way cities

The time has come for all of you going to send me money!
